The Crust of Good Leadership; Divine Kporha Stands Out

The saying, "the evil that men do lives after them, but the good lives before them" might have been held with a pinch of salt by many until Saturday, the 14th of July, 2018, when the glorious light of records shone brightly on the outstanding feat attained by some graduating young legends of the 2018 graduating class of the University of Health and Allied Sciences, UHAS.

One such legend whose unquestionable dedication to the affairs of UHAS and whose devout commitment to students welfare couldn't have gone unnoticed is the 2015/16 SRC President of UHAS and Founding President of NUGS Volta Regional bloc, Hon. Divine Kporha, who scooped the mouth-watering Prof. Binka Award for The Best Graduating Student With Demonstrated Service to The University Community at the just ended graduation ceremony.

For many who know or have worked with Divine Kporha, his outstanding achievements wouldn't have come as a surprise but it will be a thrilling opportunity to flip through the amazing pages of the good books of this indefatigable young leader UHAS stands in awe of.

The leadership journey of Mr. Kporha can be traced as far back as his basic school where he started off with the enviable position of senior prefect and had since held the banner high, rising from grace to grace in various leadership positions.

During his tenure of office, the Kporha-led SRC administration accrued a myriad of successes to their credit. If UHAS now has an SRC hostel, an SRC office and a Printing Press, it would only be fair to grace his efforts with an award to say "Thank you Divine Kporha"

It can't go unmentioned that the review of the UHAS SRC constitution, operation of the Metro Mass Transit to improve students' transportation, and procurement of Social Seats in both Ho and Hohoe campuses  were other remarkable achievements of the Kporha-led administration.

As if that wasn't enough, Mr. Kporha, with support from the National Executives of NUGS, led by H.E Julian Mawuse Kobinah, established the Volta Regional Bloc of NUGS and became its founding President and led the Union till a successful handover election to induct the 2nd Executive Committee. With these and many more achievements not mentioned here, dear readers, there wouldn't have been any better person to be crowned with the glittering award of Best Graduating Student With Demonstrated Service to the University Community than H.E Divine Kporha.

Gems with outstanding leadership features are rare species to find hence the whole UHAS community is proud to present one to the world and Campus Radio Ghana deems it an honour to re-echo the unshouted praises of honour of fellow students, friends and well-wishers as we say Ayekoo Divine Kporha for standing out as a leader with distinct qualities. UHAS is proud of you.
