Susec NSMQ Fund Club donate to NSMQ contestants
In the wake of giving back to society, a clique of the Old Students of the Sunyani Senior High School (Susec) have come together to partly bear the burden of the students representing the school in the upcoming National Science and Mathematics Quiz (NSMQ) competition.
The team of old students having realized that their alma mater made its first appearance in the competition in 2013, created a fund called the Susec NSMQ Fund Club. The prime purpose of this initiative is to support the contestants financially and encourage them to give off their best in the competition.
Speaking to the interim Chairman of the Fund Club, Mr. Theophilus Abrokwa, he stated that they saw the urgent need to come up with an initiative that will drive the contestants to aim for the top spot. This according to him led to the formation of the Club which consists of contestants from 2013 till date and other students both past and present.
He disclosed that a donation which included food items, beverages, toiletries amongst other useful materials was made yesterday 11th June, 2019. The items were received by the Coordinator, Mr. Jonathan Kwasi Nketia Gyamera on behalf of the team of contestants.
The newly created fund will be survived by a minimum monthly contribution of GHC 5.00 through an MTN Mobile Money number 0546071386 with Owusu Yeboah Ebenezer as the account name.
Mr. Abrokwa wished the contestants well ahead of the NSMQ in the coming weeks and charged them to endeavour to place their hands on the cup this year.
