Gordon Awuku wins Hohoe Provincial SRC Presidential Runoff Election

The second round of the polls organised by the Electoral Commission of the UHAS SRC between Mr. Torgbedzu Gordon Awuku Agakpe and Mr. Vincent Dogbey ended yesterday 13th April, 2018 with the former aspirant drawing a massive endorsement for himself. 

Elections began at 7am and closed at 6pm after which the results were declared. The atmosphere was a peaceful one and the Internet connectivity for the E-voting system was extremely strong making it convenient for voters. 

Out of the six hundred and twenty-five (625) expected voter turnout, five hundred and five (505) voters showed up to vote. 
Mr. Gordon Awuku pulled 304 votes representing 60.2% whiles his co-aspirant Mr. Vincent Dogbey obtained 201 votes giving him 39.8%.

The EC Chair of the UHAS SRC, Mr. Haruna Salisu Mohammed on the powers mandated him declared Mr. Torgbedzu Gordon Awuku Agakpe as the Provincial SRC President elect for Hohoe Campus for the 2018/2019 academic year. 

The President elect in an exclusive interview with Campus Radio Ghana expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to all the electorates who crowned his hard work with a landslide victory. He admitted that his co-aspirant was very much of a competition for him but he was exceedingly glad he was the people's favourite. 

Mr. Awuku has promised not to let the students down and has assured them that together a strong student leadership front on Hohoe Campus will be established.
