Gordon Awuku extols finalists; appeals to them to make the best choice in the runoff

All the obstacles in the way of the runoff elections for the Provincial SRC Presidential slot for Hohoe Campus between Mr. Torgbedzu Gordon Awuku Agakpe and Mr. Vincent Dogbey have been removed and the elections is scheduled to come off tomorrow 13th of April, 2018.

Gordon Awuku, a third year Disease Control Student has taken the opportunity to acknowledge the efforts of the finalists as he sings unending praises on the hard work they put in to uplift the name and image of the School of Public Health of the University of Health and Allied Sciences.

The turnout of the final years in the first elections was low and was due to a number of reasons which included their project works. The aspirant has appealed to them to concerned about the fate of student leadership in SPH and the need for them to exercise their franchise in the polls tomorrow.

In an open letter addressed to the finalists, he admonishes them to contribute actively in ensuring that they get a perfect replacement to carry on the mantle of leadership of the Students Representative Council (SRC). He cites an example of how an Army General will be comfortable when he retires because his successor is someone with the zeal and charisma to mount impervious and unwavering defense for the state.

Mr. Awuku believes that he has what it takes to turn the fortunes of the School of Public Health around for the betterment of every single student hence the need for all students to rally behind him to make it a reality.

He encouraged the finalists to remain hardworking and leave a legacy behind that will be remembered and emulated by upcoming student leaders. It was his hope that they will someday look back at School of Public Health, Hohoe campus and will be incredibly proud they passed through it.
