Unilever Social Mission (Brong Ahafo Region) honours Kofi Dwomoh as an outstanding volunteer 2018

The spirit of voluntarism has been the peak call from people across the diaspora to the youth and recently the spotlight has been thrown onto one fine gentleman Mr Kofi Dwomoh who has been sailing successfully in the ship of voluntarism.

As a noble volunteer who participated in the "21 days brush your teeth twice campaign", the Unilever Social Mission honoured him for his selfless service towards the  success of this project .

Mr Kofi Dwomoh is a young public health educator who has a simple vision in life, through helping to create opportunity for everyone regardless of who they are or where they come from, through empowerment and advocacy in addition to  embarking on several outreaches such as reaching out to orphanages and more importantly educating sex workers on duty.
He is also a  child developer and a facilitator for comprehensive sexuality education.

He disclosed to Campus Radio Ghana's correspondent that, he has been overwhelmed by the honour done him. He said "I go into this kind of work  with the feel of doing the little I can to make this world a better place,  and mostly the behavioral change aspect is my hallmark in all my  projects, and am as well building my career goals and also impacting lives especially to help the young ones make an informed decision".

Unilever Social Mission's 21 days brush your teeth twice project module", was a 21-day program, because research has proven that if you habitually and truly do something for 21days it becomes your character and visiting schools to teach them how to brush and why to brush twice with a pledge and song to make it interesting was our mandate.

Parents were included and diaries were given to the kids to mark as and when they brush and we went back to reward and select ambassadors for each school for sustainability" he explained.

He expressed his appreciation to all who have been supportive in pushing this glittering futuristic agenda. In his concluding remarks he has this as advise for the youth " The youth  should be inquisitive and acquisitive, dare to know and they should know that no one will take them to where they want to be but rather they themselves."
