Campus Radio Boss wins PHSA award.
The Public Health Students Association (PHSA) Awards ceremony, held recently at the School of Public Health of the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Hohoe on the 10th of March 2018, saw a lot of talented and deserving students as well as media groups and student unions walk home proudly with awards for various categories.
Worth-noting among the awardees is one of the finest correspondents and the head of Campus Radio Ghana, Mr. Angmortey Kwabena Raphael, whose nomination into two of the categories didn't come as a surprise.
Speaking to Campus Radio correspondent, Mr. Foli Christian, Mr. Angmortey revealed he has love and passion for writing and was quite proud of himself when his hard work was recognized with his nomination to the categories of Student Writer of the Year and PHSA Write Competition Award, not forgetting to add that the organization he works for, Campus Radio Ghana, was also nominated for the Multimedia Group of the Year award.
Mr. Angmortey who was nominated for the Student Writer of the Year and the Student Journalist of the Year in the NUGS Excellence Awards organized last year, beat his counterparts to win the Student Writer of the Year Award while losing the PHSA write competition Award to Mr. Dogbevi Kekeli.
Humbled by this remarkable feat, Mr. Kwabena Raphael revealed that his passion to keep writing has been ignited, and he wishes to make his works go far and and beyond, both nationally and at the international level.
He commended the PHSA Awards Committee for the good work done but hopes for some improvement in the venue and security in subsequent events.
The award-winning writer admonished other writers not to use their skills of writing to slander innocent people but rather use it as an effective tool to impact the lives of people. To young and upcoming writers he wishes to advise them to be more passionate and spend quality time in research to spice their articles and stimulate the interest of their readers.
Campus Radio is indeed proud of you and say congratulations Mr. Angmortey Kwabena Raphael.
