Rotaract Club of UHAS, Hohoe Campus rolls out semester programs 

Rotaract Club, one of the most vibrant clubs on Hohoe Campus is set to embark on a trip to Afadjato as part of their semester programs. The club which is the youth wing of Rotary International belonging to District 9102, has over the years undertaken major projects in and outside campus. 

In December 2017, the club organized a blood donation exercise at the St. Augustine's Park to supplement the blood bank of the Hohoe Municipal Hospital. 

The secretary of the club, Rotaractor Emmanuel Saadong confirmed the planned excursion slated for the 17th of February, 2018 with a climax party dubbed "By the fire side" later that evening. He added that this was fun time and he appealed for both members and the general public to get on board to make it a remarkable one.

According to him, members of the club are expected to pay GHC 25.00 while non-members will pay GHC 30.00.
Rotaractor Saadong outlined quite a number of programs which will follow the trip. 

Top on the list was the upcoming Rotary Family Health Days which is scheduled for the 22nd of February, 2018 to 24th of February, 2018. This exercise involves screening of members of the selected community on HIV/AIDS, Diabetes, Hepatitis with interventions like deworming to prevent anaemia and other related health conditions. "There will be free distribution of mosquito nets and condoms", he said. 

Plans are underway to engage students of the Alavanyo Senior High School in a health education, and also purchase a blood donor Chair for the blood bank of the Hohoe Municipal Hospital. 
Independence Day celebration on March 6th, 2018 will be marked with tree planting in certain areas of the Hohoe municipality. 

The members of the club were urged to give their maximum to make all programs successful, not forgetting to honour their financial commitment. 

In his final words he invited the general public and students to join their meeting on Tuesday, 13th February, 2018 on Hohoe Campus to witness the activities of the club.
