UHAS EC releases 2019 SRC election roadmap
The tenure of the Asare Derrick-led administration is approaching an end to pave way for a new administration to spearhead the activities of the student front. An election is imminent and the EC is set to open nominations for aspirants to officially establish their interests in leading the SRC.
In an interview on Campus Radio Gh Newspage Whatsapp platform, Daniel Adanfo, EC public relations officer revealed to host Christian Foli and his audience that nominations would have been opened earlier if not for the delay caused by the recently ended SRC week celebrations, which attracted a lot of time, attention and focus. Nominations under normal circumstances should have been opened during the third week of the semester as demanded by the SRC constitution.
However, the guest also revealed that the EC has submitted its budget to the SRC parliament which is currently being reviewed and pending an approval.
"This year's election, which shall be conducted electronically as was done in the most recent election, would be improved to offset any challenges that were previously encountered," Mr Adanfo told the host.
Asked if there was going to be any reduction in prices of nomination forms, Mr. Adanfo revealed that prices for nominations forms are going to be maintained at the same costs as last year.
