Acoustic Hangout sets Hohoe on fire
The groundbreaking event over the weekend shook the very foundations of the Galaxy Lodge, the venue for the event which housed the enthusiastic attendees.
Acoustic Hangout is a multi-faceted contemporary musical concert with various performances on Spoken Word, mime, gospel rap, poetry and spontaneous worship.
Participants from some selected tertiary institutions in the country were invited to attend the program. The whole idea of Acoustic Hangout was birthed by one gentlemen known as Franklin with his team of talented youngsters, Crew Mob. This year’s event was a partnership with a recently formed association called the Love Generation.
Hohoe is the second venue to host the Acoustic Hangout after Ho. The event was spiced up with performances from the Crew Mob, a singing group, J Mime, an international Mime artiste propagating the gospel of Christ through mime. Kwaku Henneh Kyere, an outstanding poet in the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Dickson Akpalu, a spoken word artiste all electrified the event with very touching and mind-boggling words.
Ms. Millicent Appiah, one of the event organizers told Campus Radio that the event was organized to create a sense of diversity in christian programs by way of
providing a platform for students to use their talents to the glory of the Lord. She added that it was also an avenue to forster a sense of unity in amongst the invited schools.
The event was happening in Hohoe for the very first time which caused the masses to throng to the venue to catch a glimpse of the action.
Contemporary music is gradually taking the music industry by storm and the Crew mob have joined the train to give their audience a balance taste of music and art altogether.
An entrepreneurship segment was held at some point of the show with CEO of Sneaks Fashion, Byll Sneaks as the guest together with Jerryson Bold who doubled as the MC for the program. They both shared stories of how they emerged with the amazing business ventures they are currently running.
They encouraged the audience to make good use of their talents once they identify them because the school system limits them in realizing their full potential.
Sneaks Fashion was a key sponsor of the event and the CEO made a promise to support the international mime artiste, J Mime with clothing on every single performance henceforth.
The event organizers thanked every single individual who in diverse ways supported the program and the attendees who honoured the invitation and were physically present at the event.
