No more betting on KNUST campus - Authorities orders

Betting has become so rampant among students in Knust.Most students in Knust dedicate most of their time betting instead of having time for their books. On 2nd May 2019, The academic Board of the University had a meeting concerning this issue.

Prior to the meeting, the academic Board noticed that betting has become prevalent among the students, most of whom are facing financial problems as a result. Due to this, they have banned betting among students on campus.

The Academic Board consequently set a rule which states that "any student found betting on campus will be rusticated for a year". The University of Information and Science (UITS) has been ordered to block any betting websites so that it will be difficult for students to access it with the WIFI.

Again, they continued to say that the University or any of its organs shall not accept any assistantship in a form of sponsorship from any betting company again.

The academic board has advised the SRC, various hall leaderships, and the entire students accordingly.
