KNUST SRC Entertainment Chairperson Resigns Few Days To Hosting Shatta Wale On Campus

Entertainment Chairperson of KNUST SRC, Ms. Portia Esi Addae is reported to have resigned from her position.

Her resignation comes at time when the SRC is preparing to mark its 56th annual week celebration, stating February 23, 2019.

Reasons about her resignation is not yet known.

A letter sighted by essienLive.com indicates that Ms. Esi submitted her resignation letter to the council on Monday, 18th February, 2019.

“The relevant notifications to the Dean of Students and the SRC president have been made,” the letter stated.

According to the letter, in accordance with article 89 of the SRC constitution, 2011 (as amended), her resignation officially comes into effect after 7 days of her communication. Within this period she is expected to hand over all relevant documents in her possession to the SRC Judicial Council Chairperson.

The KNUST SRC has already outlined a number of events to observe as part of celebrations to mark the 56th anniversary commencing with much anticipated fun-city with Ghanaian dance hall artist Shatta Wale as the main headline artist.
