Campus Radio gets new Executive Director
The largest news network on UHAS Campus is honoured to have a resource person with rich experience in journalism and media work on board as the Executive Director in the person of Mr. Conrad Kakraba.
Mr. Conrad Kakraba will help build capacity of Campus Radio staff through extensive training in journalism and Communication to improve their news delivery and reportage.
Mr. Kakraba is the Executive Assistant of Heritage Christian University College, Amasaman-Accra. He is also a Lecturer in Communication at the University and a minister at the Heritage campus church of Christ.
He is reading a PhD in Business Administration (Communication and Media Management) from Open University of Malaysia (through Accra Institute of Technology, AIT). He holds a Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from SMU- India. He has received training in Biblical Studies, Evangelism and Christian Ministry from the International School of Biblical Studies, South Africa and is reading a Master's in Divinity from Nations University, USA. He had his Bachelor of Arts degree in English with Linguistics from the University of Ghana.
He has been a Lecturer in Communication, Humanities and African Studies in the Business School and Faculty of Law of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, (GIMPA) for four (4) years.
Mr. Conrad Kakraba worked with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation as a Reporter, Newscaster, Editor, Programme Producer/Host and Commentator for seven (7) years. He anchored many high profile events such as the inauguration of President John D. Mahama, funeral of late President Evans Attah Mills and Election 2012 Petition Hearing at the Supreme Court. He was voted Ghana's Best Journalist in Political Reporting in 2013 and was a finalist for Best TV Male Newscaster for 2014/2015. He has also covered international conferences outside of Ghana.
Mr. Conrad Kakraba has expressed joy for coming on board as a high ranking member of the news bureau and the whole staff of the bureau board wish him the best in his new role.
